This report summarizes the administrative data gathered from September 2022 documents submitted by the local civil registry offices of the thirteen municipalities and a city in the province of Rizal. The province generated the following statistics: Seven Hundred and Sixty Eight (768) for marriage. This represents 4.56% decrease from the 701 registered vital events from the previous month. Civil registration is a continuous, permanent, and compulsory recording of vital events occurring in the life of an individual such as birth, marriage, and death as well as court decrees, and legal instruments affecting his civil status in appropriate registers as mandated by Act No. 3753, the Civil Registry Law. In this September 2022 issue, the Philippine Statistics Authority of Rizal presents the number of births, marriages, and deaths registered by municipalities in the province. The data are preliminary result from the Decentralized Vital Statistics System 2011 based on the documents submitted (Timely and Late Registered) by the Local Civil Registry Offices in Rizal.   Marriage is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life   As the table shows, month of August had 754 timely registered marriages compared to 670 of the previous month with a recorded decrease of 5.90 percent in registration.    The city/municipality with the highest number of timely registered marriages was recorded in the City of Antipolo with 228 registered documents, followed by Binangonan with 84 and Taytay with 82 registered marriages. (See table B.)   The City of Antipolo having the highest registered marriages in the province of Rizal, documented Catholic marriages as the most officiated with one hundred eight (108) instances, as well as in Civil Ceremonies with seventy five (75) and in other religious rites with forty five (45) instances.     There was seven (7) recorded widow on bride’s civil status and eight (8) widowers on the grooms, Divorced with eleven (11) on the grooms, and annulled with two (2) registration status on the groom’s civil status. Province-wide, civil ceremonies initiated by the local chief executives in coordination with the municipal civil registrars including those solemnized by judges, recorded the highest number of registrations with 393 (52.12%).   Ceremonies officiated by other religious sectors recorded 147 events or 19.50 percent.   Roman Catholic ceremonies recorded 214 events or 28.38 percent. (refer to Figure II) Teen bride had ten (10) or 1.33% recorded marriages while teen groom had four (3) or 0.53% recorded events this month. There was two(2) recorded groom who got married with age of 75 years old and over that tied the knot. The modal age group for groom and bride was at 25- 29 years old with 274 grooms and 313 brides (See Table C). In Rizal, there were 32 Filipinas married to foreign nationals that were registered in September 2022 (See table D).
