This report summarizes the administrative data gathered from September 2022 documents submitted by the local civil registry offices of the thirteen municipalities and a city in the province of Rizal. The province generated the following statistics: Five thousand and two hundred ninety eight (5,298) for birth. This represents 4.22% increase from the 4,868 registered vital events from the previous month. Civil registration is a continuous, permanent, and compulsory recording of vital events occurring in the life of an individual such as birth, marriage, and death as well as court decrees, and legal instruments affecting his civil status in appropriate registers as mandated by Act No. 3753, the Civil Registry Law. In this September 2022 issue, the Philippine Statistics Authority of Rizal presents the number of births, marriages, and deaths registered by municipalities in the province. The data are preliminary result from the Decentralized Vital Statistics System 2011 based on the documents submitted (Timely and Late Registered) by the Local Civil Registry Offices in Rizal.  Province of Rizal recorded 3,580 timely registered births for the month of September 2022. City of Antipolo had the highest contribution of live births with 1,221 followed by Montalban with 474 and Taytay with 383. Municipality of Jalajala had the least contribution with 9 live births (see Table B). There were almost 119 newborn babies daily in the province for the month of September 2022.   The timely data recorded presented 53.97 percent for the males and 46.03 percent for the females. It means that male born babies were higher by only 7.94 percent than the female born babies for this month.   About 2,562 births (71.56%) were attended by physicians followed by Midwife which is 789 (22.04%), while 215 (6.01 %) were attended by Hilot, 7 (0.20%) by nurse and 7 (0.20%) were attended by other type of attendant at birth (See Table C).   32.23 percent or 1,154 of the mothers in the province had their first-born during the reference month. Out of the fourteen (14) city/municipalities, Baras, Pililla and Tanay have no recorded birth attended by physicians, followed by Jalajala with seven (7) birth registration and Cardona with ten (10). Thirty four point seventy two (1,243) babies born in Rizal were legitimate.  City of Antipolo posted the highest legitimacy percentage of 27.59% (343) of the total born children in the province of Rizal as well as the highest illegitimacy percentage of 37.57% (878) born this month (see Figure I). City of Antipolo has the biggest gap between legitimate and illegitimate.   Modal age group for mothers was at 25 to 29 years old with 1,078 occurrences (30.11%).  Teenage mothers (19 years old and below) listed 262 births or 7.32% in which; three (6) teenage mother were age under 15. The non-fertile age group (45 years old and over) showed fertility performance with ten (7) recorded live births or 0.20 percent. (see Table D).
