The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) successfully turned over the data from the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to the local government of Sampaloc, Quezon. Sampaloc was among the LGUs who joined the CBMS roll-out in 2022. The ceremonial activity was held today, December 01, 2023 at Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, 2nd Flr., Sampaloc Municipal Building. This noteworthy event was made possible and realized as a result of the collaborative efforts of the PSA and the local government of Sampaloc and constituents.

Attending officials included the following: Municipal Vice Mayor of Sampaloc Honorable Teresita D. Villeno, Municipal Health Office Dr. Rani B. Ramoso, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Rodalyn A. Macarandang and Chief Statistical Specialist Airene A. Pucyutan. Also in attendance were the Department Heads of Sampaloc, Quezon and other PSA and LGU personnel.

There were 3,621 responding households with a total of 13,018 individuals covered in the CBMS. Senior Statistical Specialist Margarita G. Cada presented the highlights of the results from the Household and Barangay Profile Questionnaire which included the basic services such as electricity, internet, water, toilet facilities, safety, food insecurity, and disaster preparedness, among others. The LGU can now use the data derived from the CBMS for program planning and policy formulation, according to SrSS Cada.

Vice Mayor Villeno, in her acceptance message, expressed her gratitude to the PSA and LGU for funding the municipality of Sampaloc together in the conduct of CBMS. She is grateful that the CBMS results would enable the LGU of Sampaloc to identify the status and needs of its constituents. She also commended the field staff and supervisors of the CBMS for their contribution to the successful conduct of the activity.
