The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) of the region for July 2017 is 62.4 percent which is lower by 0.4 percent compared to July 2016 LFPR. The number of employed persons in July 2017 was estimated at 5.7 million.
CALABARZON’s Economy Grows by 4.8 Percent

 

The economy of CALABARZON grew by 4.8 percent in 2016, lower than its 5.8 percent growth in 2015. The deceleration was due to the slower growth of Industry, particularly Manufacturing and Construction.

The economy of CALABARZON grew by 5.1 percent in 2014, albeit at a slower pace compared to its 6.7 percent growth in 2013. The Industry sector contributed much to the growth in the economy of the region.
