Vital registration is a continuous process. Hence there is a need to specify certain cut-off period for purposes of reporting. The Death Statistics in Quezon presented in this report contains highlights and summary of statistical tables of deaths that occurred on or before February 2019 and registered within the said month. Events that occurred in February 2019 but were not registered during the month were not included in this publication. For this report, Decentralized Vital Statistics System (DVSS) 2011 was used in data encoding. In the generation of DVSS tables however, CSPro 7.1 was utilized. Number of Deaths… There were 1,097 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2019. It recorded a decrease of 28.3 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,531. The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 39 or approximately two deaths per hour. Deaths by Sex… There were more male deaths (619 or 56.4 percent) than female deaths (478 or 43.6 percent) registered during the month. The death sex ratio was calculated at 129 males for every 100 females in February 2019. Deaths by Age-group …  Majority of the death occurrences belonged to age group 60 and over with a total of 652. This comprised more than half or 59.4 percent of the total deaths recorded for the month. DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: October 2023 (Preliminary Results)
