The Crops Production Survey (CrPS) is done quarterly in the province which aims to generate basic production statistics for crops other than palay and corn. Crops are classified into three commodity groupings, namely: 1) Vegetables and Rootcrops 2) Fruit Crops and 3) Non-Food and Industrial Crops. The CrPS supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector and the general public. It also provides periodic updates on crop related developments. It mainly captures the data on volume of production, area planted/ harvested, and number of bearing trees/hills/vines. In the last quarter of 2019, the total production of crops other than palay and corn in the province went up by 7.98 percent compared to its production in 2018 of same quarter. Vegetables Rootcrops had increased by 14.69 percent attributable to lesser heavy rainfall that permits application of fertilizer and pesticides, and for rootcrops, it favors bigger tuber formation since the soil is not compacted. The increase can be attributable to bigger tubers developed for Cassava, increased area planted for Okra and increased demand for Camote Tops. On the same note, Fruits Crops and Non-Food Industrial Crops which posted an output gain of about 6.41 percent and 4.10 percent respectively. Also, lesser rainfall brought enough moisture for Banana produce more while iy lessen cases of bud root. In Pineapple, farmers harvested more due to higher price. On NFICS, Coconut-matured and young still in demand, meanwhile, no production of priority crops but LGU thru MAO and the DA continue to implement programs for better production of crops  

SPECIAL RELEASE: 2020 FRUIT CROPS SITUATION IN QUEZON

The fruit crops production in the province went down by 5.8 percent in 2020 or about 50,644.42 metric tons from 53,750.65 metric tons in 2019.

SPECIAL RELEASE: 2021 CROPS PRODUCTION IN QUEZON

A total of 1,520,260.40 metric tons of crops were produced in the province in 2021. This was 0.7 percent higher compared to the previous year’s figure of 1,509,605.07 metric tons.

SPECIAL RELEASE: 2020 NON-FOOD AND INDUSTRIAL CROPS SITUATION IN QUEZON

The non-food and industrial crops production in the province dropped by about 8.8 percent from 1,427,841.95 metric tons in 2019 to 1,301,571.41 metric tons in 2020.
