To ensure the inclusion of Indigenous People to Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) takes effort to make the registration accessible through onsite mobile registration. This allows vulnerable sectors of the society to bring the registration closer to their community. Based on the data of National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) confirmed by Chieftain Alas Jallaali, there were three hundred forty-five (345) Sama-Bajau individuals or commonly known as “Badjao” residing in barangay Barra, Lucena City, Quezon. With this, PSA conducts orientation on the use and benefits of National ID such as eligibility and access to government social welfare assistance program, school admission and other related transactions that requires proof of identity and age. Successful registrants who completed the step 2 registration presented original barangay certification/ birth certificate/4Ps ID as their documentary requirements to PhilSys. IPs registration was held in barangay Barra covered court on 16 June 2023.     For further information, please contact PSA Quezon Provincial Statistical Office with telephone numbers (042) 373-7059 or (042) 717-3629 and email address quezon@psa.gov.ph, or you may visit our website rsso04a.psa.gov.ph/quezon.   (SGD.)
