The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) successfully turned over the data from the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to the local government of the City of Tayabas, Quezon. The City of Tayabas was among the LGUs who joined the CBMS roll-out in 2022. The ceremonial activity was held today, February 16, 2024 at the Atrium, New City Hall, City of Tayabas, Quezon. This noteworthy event was made possible and realized as a result of the collaborative efforts of the PSA and the local government of the City of Tayabas and constituents.

Attending officials included the following: City Mayor of Tayabas, Honorable Maria Lourdes Reynoso-Pontioso, CPDO EnP Gino Carlo C. Zaporteza, RSSO 4A Regional Director Charito C. Armonia, and Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan. Also in attendance were the Department Heads of the City of Tayabas, Quezon and other PSA and LGU personnel.

There were 27,081 responding households with a total of 106,905 individuals covered in the CBMS. Senior Statistical Specialist Margarita G. Cada presented  the  highlights of the results from the Household and Barangay Profile Questionnaires which included the basic services such as electricity, internet, water, toilet facilities, safety, food insecurity, and disaster preparedness, among others. The LGU can now use the data derived from the CBMS for program planning and policy formulation, according to SrSS Cada.
