On October 11, 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Batangas successfully handed over the 2023 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data to the Municipality of Balayan, marking an important step in inclusive development planning at the local level. This achievement was the result of a strong collaboration between PSA Batangas and the Municipal Government of Balayan.
The Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) was led by Regional Director Charito C. Armonia of PSA Regional Statistics and Services Office (RSSO) IV-A Calabarzon along with Mr. Raul Maximo B. Tolentino, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA RSSO IV-A Batangas, and the CBMS Core Team. Also present were Municipal Mayor Emmanuel Salvador P. Fronda II, Municipal Vice- Mayor Atty. Efren R. Chavez and the munical government department heads and staff.
During the event, Mayor Fronda highlighted the crucial role of accurate CBMS data in identifying the rightful beneficiaries of government programs aimed at improving residents' quality of life. He emphasized that this data enables evidence-based decision-making and efficient program implementation, which ultimately supports fair and inclusive governance in Balayan.
