Rizal CPI Special Release July 2023 Provincial inflation of Rizal between July 2022 and July 2023 is shown in this figure. This is the sixth consecutive month of deceleration in the province. Inflation of 6.4 percent this month is lower than the inflation of 6.8 percent in July 2022. A decline in Rizal’s inflation rate was observed from 6.8 percent in July 2022 to 6.4 percent in July 2023. The main factors contributing to the downward trend in inflation were transportation, restaurant and accommodation services, and food and non-alcoholic beverages, with decreased by 3.0,11.1 and 9.2 indices, respectively. Also contributing to the downward trend in the overall inflation were the lower annual increases in the indices of the following commodity groups: a. Health 9.8 percent; b. Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance, 7.4 percent; c. Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels, 5.6 percent; d. Recreation, sport and culture, 4.9 percent and; e. Clothing and footwear 2.3 percent Price situation in Rizal increased by 0.1 index from 125.9 to 126.0 on a month-to-month basis. Recreation, Sports and Culture, Alcoholic Beverages and tobacco, and Food and non-Alcohol beverages contributed to this month’s inflation with 1.5 ,1.3 and 1.1 points, respectively. Lower indices were also observed in Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services with 0.5, Health with 0.4 Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance and Clothing and footwear both with 0.3 index points. Information and Communication, Education Services, Restaurant and Accommodation services and Financial Services remain unchanged.
