The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Quezon Provincial Statistical Office under the lead of Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan concluded the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) with a closing ceremony held on October 30, 2024 at the activity center of Pacific Mall, Lucena City.

Present in the event were teachers and students from various educational institutions in the province, as well as staff and officials from the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) and PSA-Quezon.

The celebration highlighted the awarding ceremony for the top three (3) winners of the various contests conducted in celebration of the 35th NSM. A special award was also given to the winner with the most Facebook reactions. Each of them received a certificate of recognition, a medal, and a token.

The top three (3) winners for the Statistical Social Media Card Contest for Local Civil Registry Offices were:

      1st Place: LCRO Lucban 
      2nd Place: LCRO Tayabas City 
      3rd Place: LCRO Mauban 
      Special Award: LCRO Atimonan

Meanwhile, the winners of the feature writing contest, which was participated in by 24 college students from various schools and universities in the province were:

      1st Place: Mjay D. Fuentes of Polytechnic University of the Philippines- Mulanay 
      2nd Place: Ma. Cleofe G. Bernardino of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation-Lucena 
      3rd Place: John Renz Dela Cruz of Northern Quezon College, Inc. 
      Special Award: Cherry Ann C. Orozo of Northern Quezon College Inc.

For the Digital Slogan-Writing Contest, the following students garnered the top three (3) spots:

      1st Place: John Eric Llavanes of Gulang-gulang National High School 
      2nd Place: Christian Jake R. Millena of Gulang-gulang National High School 
      3rd Place and Special Award: Maria Kathrene Alrianne Borromeo of Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc

The said event also served as a platform to disseminate data on inflation rate and consumer price index, as well as to orient students and invited guests on Selected Basic Statistical Indicators from various PSA surveys and censuses.

PSA-Quezon extends its warmest congratulations to all the winners and expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the 35th NSM celebration.
