The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and PhilSys Batangas actively participated in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), held last August 24-25, 2024, at Aboitiz Pitch-Lima Park, City of Lipa. This two-day event, organized by the Office of the President, is the nation’s largest service and convergence caravan, aimed at providing crucial government services and financial aid to Filipinos in need.
BPSF Batangas, with Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, a former Batangas representative, serving as the local host, brought together 50 participating agencies, offering over 200 services to the residents of Batangas. The event rolled out a total of PHP 563 million worth of government services and financial aid to benefit more than 60,000 Batangueños.
PSA Batangas was one of the key agencies present, providing a range of essential services, including National ID registration, ePhilID issuance, Digital National ID assistance, and Civil Registration services.
In a special program during the event, five residents of Calaca City received free birth certificates, facilitated through the PhilSys Birth Registry Assistance. The awarding was led by Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Senator Bong Revilla, Luis Manzano, Ryan Christian Recto, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Martin Romualdez. The PSA representatives who handed out the birth certificates were Chief Statistical Specialist, Raul Maximo B. Tolentino and PSA Calabarzon Regional Director, Charito C. Armonia. This gesture underscores PSA Batangas' commitment to making civil registration more accessible to the public.
Also, On Day 1, PhilSys Batangas were able to register 53 individuals, issued 33 ePhilID, and 7 same-day ePhilID issuances. On Day 2, 38 individuals were registered to the National ID, 28 ePhilID issuances, and 5 same-day ePhilID issuances.
PSA Batangas’ participation in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair highlights its dedication to bringing essential services closer to the people, ensuring that more Filipinos benefit from the government’s various programs and initiatives.
