There were 514 marriages registered in Quezon in November 2023. It recorded a decrease of 8.7 percent from the previous month’s total of 563.
The daily average of registered marriages during the month was 17, lower than the recorded daily average of 18 in October 2023.
Marriages by Place of Occurrence…
Sariaya (127 or 24.7%) had the highest number of registered marriages, followed by Lucena City (54 or 10.5%) and Mauban (50 or 9.7%).
Pagbilao with 42 or 8.2 percent and Lucban with 24 or 4.7 percent recorded the next highest registered marriages.
Around 56.1 percent of the 41 municipalities/cities in the province registered less than ten (10) marriage occurrences during the month.
No marriage event was recorded in the island municipalities of Alabat, Jomalig, Patnanungan and Perez.
Marriages by Month…
In 2023, July was the most favored month to marry, with a total of 933 marriages, or a daily average of 30 marriages.
May had the next highest number of marriages with 921 or a daily average of 30.
August recorded the least number of marriages with 477 or a daily average of 15.
Marriages by Nationality of Groom and Bride…
About 98.8 percent of the grooms and 99.8 percent of the brides were Filipinos in the registered marriages in November.
There were five (5) intermarriages between Filipino brides and grooms of foreign descent and one (1) intermarriage between Filipino groom and bride of foreign descent.
