The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A successfully hosted an awarding ceremony for the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO) in CALABARZON on February 11, 2025, at Jet Hotel, Lipa City, Batangas, recognizing their vital contributions in ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely civil registration services. The event, attended by the key officials of the PSA RSSO IV-A and invited LCROs in the region, underscores the role of the LCROs in maintaining the integrity of public records and systematically recording vital events such as births, deaths, marriages, and other life events, ensuring legal identity, access to rights and services, and reliable demographic data for governance and policy-making.

The ceremony was aligned with the theme of the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration, "Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System" highlighting the importance of adaptability and innovation in civil registration processes.

The selection of outstanding LCRO awardees was based on their performance from January to December 2023, evaluated through their submitted Civil Registry Documents, Narrative Reports and other conducted over and above activities. LCROs were awarded per category which is classified according to the volume of documents processed, ranging from Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large and Super Extra Large Category respectively.

The event served as a powerful symbol of the LCROs' unwavering dedication to service excellence, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining a robust and efficient civil registration system. By recognizing their hard work and achievements, the ceremony not only celebrated past accomplishments but also motivated LCROs to continuously improve their services, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of the public.
