Number of Deaths… There were 1,241 registered deaths in Quezon in September 2022. It recorded a decrease of 6.1 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,322. The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 41 or approximately two deaths per hour. Deaths by Sex… There were more male deaths (692 or 55.8 percent) than female deaths (549 or 44.2 percent) registered during the month. The death sex ratio was calculated at 126 males for every 100 females in September 2022. Deaths by Age-group… Majority of the death occurrences belonged to age group 60 and over with a total of 732. This comprised more than half or 59.0 percent of the total deaths recorded for the month. Age group 55-59 years old registered the next highest death toll which accounted for 113 or 9.1 percent. Infant Deaths… Infant deaths totaled 49 or 3.9 percent of the total mortality. Infant deaths were higher for females (25) than males (24) giving an infant death sex ratio of 96 males for every 100 females.
