PSA Quezon personnel joined the Fourth Quarter 2023 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 9, 2023, 9:00 AM. The NSED is a drill aimed at raising preparedness during earthquakes and ensuring that the employees are equipped with skills to correctly act and respond in the event of an earthquake.

Prior to the earthquake drill, an orientation was conducted to educate and provide essential and practical survival tips and discuss the evacuation process. During the simulation exercise, every staff executed the duck, cover and hold inside the office. Afterwards, they evacuated the office wearing the hard hats and finally proceeded to the designated assembly area.

Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan, strongly advocates for the disaster safety and earthquake preparedness and awareness of every employee in the agency. This exercise allows the office to review the emergency plan during disaster as well as the public service continuity plan of PSA Quezon.
