Starting the first quarter of 2018, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will be conducting the 2018 Labor Turnover Survey (LTS) nationwide to get a more complete picture of the labor market situation in the whole country. This survey was previously used to cover only the National Capital Region (NCR). The LTS aims to generate quarterly trend statistics on labor turnover (accessions and separation rates) and existing job vacancies as indicators of labor market activity and general business situation of the country. Data gathered from this survey are intended to generate timely labor market signals as sound basis in planning, policy formulation and decision making. PSA Laguna has 201 sample establishments for the first quarter. The survey covers 18 major industries classified according to the amended 2009 Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC) with 20 or more workers as listed by the PSA. Field enumeration will start from May 16 to June 27, 2018. Regular staff of PSA Laguna will distribute questionnaire to sample establishments. Other sample establishments may also be interviewed.
