One of the highlights of this year's 32nd Civil Registration Month, with the theme "Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation," is the virtual holding of the 2nd Regional Quiz Bee by PSA regional offices within February 2022 to have a representative compete for the 2nd National CRVS Quiz Bee. Last 16 February 2022, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) CALABARZON held its second Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Quiz Bee. The event was held using the Zoom application and was live streamed on the Facebook page named Philippine Statistics Authority - Calabarzon. Participants included fifteen (15) representatives from different Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, Quezon, and Laguna who won in the respective Provincial CRVS Quiz Bee conducted earlier this month. This competition aimed to raise awareness and improve their understanding of the significance of not only Civil Registration, but also other PSA mandates such as statistics and the Philippine Identification System. It also includes situational questions on various queries and problems affecting the public in terms of obtaining civil registry documents. The LCRO employees who made it to the final round are Karlo Marko B. Parreño of Antipolo City, Rizal accumulating the highest score of 46 points, followed by Carlo V. Villanueva of Sto. Tomas, Batangas who garnered 44 points, Mary Grace A. Dantoc of Paete, Laguna and Catherine L. Salazar of Silang, Cavite who both got 41 points and Vincent C. Jaballa of Tayabas, Quezon with 40points, and Irish L. Baya of Santa Rosa City, Laguna with 31 points. The following are the top three (3) contestants with the highest cumulative scores from Rounds 1, 2, and 3 who were declared winners and will each receive a Recognition Plaque and Tokens: Champion: Karlo Marko B. Pareño of Antipolo City, Rizal 2nd Place: Carlo V. Villanueva of Sto. Tomas, Batangas 3rd Place: Catherine L.
