Quezon Provincial Statistical Office achieved another milestone with the release of the 2018 - 2021 estimates of Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) for the first time. A dissemination forum on Provincial Product Accounts of Province of Quezon and City of Lucena was conducted at Queen Margarette Hotel, Domoit Diversion Road, Lucena City last 15 December 2022 live-streamed at the official Facebook page of PSA - Quezon Province. Representatives from national line agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), members of the Provincial Statistics Committee of Quezon, local planners and media partners attended the forum. Quezon is one among the provinces in CALABARZON that released the PPA estimates presenting the economic structure of the Province of Quezon and City of Lucena (highly urbanized city) covering the years 2018 to 2021. PPA aims to measure the economic performance and indicators to monitor the economic development at the local level.  Moreover, it will provide the stakeholders in the government and private sectors as well as in the academe with sound indicators for evidence-based policies and programs at the local level. PPA is being compiled consistent with the framework of the System of National Accounts and estimated using the production approach. Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan expressed her gratitude to the LGUs,  the provincial line agencies, and other data partners for their support as data providers in the compilation of Gross Provincial Domestic Product of Quezon Province and Gross City Domestic Product of the City of Lucena. Their support according to her contributed to the success of this endeavor. (PMisula/PSAQuezon)
