PRESS RELEASE: PSA Quezon Conducts the Second Round of 2022 Survey on Costs and Returns of Palay Production

Philippine Statistics Authority is conducting the Survey on Costs and Returns (SCR) of Palay Production for the Second Round in January 2023. This survey is in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture Bureau of Agricultural Research. SCR of Palay Production generates data on costs structure of palay production, and average use of materials and labor inputs, measure of profitability and other economic characteristics of palay farming at the provincial level. Moreover, the data on production costs and returns can be used by both government and non-government planners and policy makers to boost the growth and development of the palay industry. There are 138 sample palay farming households to be covered for this survey in Quezon province. These are located in the municipalities of Burdeos, Calauag, Catanauan, Lopez, Lucban, Macalelon, Tagkawayan, Unisan, and cities of Tayabas and Lucena. Eight (8) statistical researchers will be involved in the data collection from February 6 to 17 2023 through a face-to-face personal interview strictly following the COVID-19 minimum health protocols such as social distancing and use of personal protective equipment.
