The Philippine Statistics Authority- Quezon was visited by the Department of Energy (DOE) on January 19, 2023 to determine and evaluate if PSA Quezon complies with the Inter-Agency Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee (IAEECC) advisory on the mandatory implementation of energy efficiency and conservation programs and the strict observance of the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) guidelines. The inter-agency committee was created to reduce the monthly consumption of electricity and petroleum products by at least 10 percent. Resolution NO. 01, s.2020 of Inter-Agency Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee (IAEECC), directs all government agencies, including the Local Government Units (LGUs) and Foreign Service Posts, to comply with the GEMP, ordering the Department of Energy to conduct energy audits and spot checks, and submit proposed improvements to the GEMPThe spot check was headed by Mr. Jairus Drei E. Geronimo, Mr. Glenn Alexis Q. Galano and Mr. Nilo P. Sombria of the Department of Energy and attended by the PSA Quezon EEC Officer/RO II Jocylen M. Maog, SSS Normita D. Pagkatipunan and Accountant I Riza N. Santos. It was conducted in line with the the Energy Efficiency and Conservation checklist which has three key-points:  institutionalization of EEC, fuel-saving measures and electricity-saving measures.
