Orientation on the 2023 Community-Based Monitoring System City/Municipal and Barangay Data Collection in Balayan, Batangas On May 11-12 and 15-16, 2023 orientation on the 2023 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Barangay Profile Questionnaire data collection was held at Balayan Government Center, Balayan, Batangas. It was participated by 96 barangay officials and MPDO Staffs which makes the orientation divided into two batches. This orientation is an onsite briefing undertaken by Batangas Provincial Statistical Office headed by CSS Raul Maximo Tolentino, and facilitated by SSS Elvin Arasula with CBMS office-based personnel. The participants are the municipal personnel, punong barangay, secretaries and other barangay officials. The orientation is to familiarize them in the filling-up forms 4 and 7. The CBMS Form 4 is administered to gather data on the characteristics of barangay such as service institutions and facilities, information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and resources, significant events, and disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM). Meanwhile, CBMS Form 7 collects information on the infrastructure and non-infrastructure of government projects of the municipality. Both are collected through Computer-Assisted Web Interview (CAWI) and be completed prior to enumeration period. Moreover, the 2-day orientation for the 2 batches successfully ended on May 16, 2023. Lastly, it was all agreed that the deadline of submission of the accomplished Form 4 and 7 will be on May 31, 2023.
