DVSS MARCH 2023 (DEATH STATISTICS RIZAL INDICATORS) This report summarizes the administrative data gathered from March 2023 documents submitted by the local civil registry offices of the thirteen municipalities and a city in the province of Rizal. The province generated the following statistics: One Thousand Three Hundred Ninety (1,390) for death. This represents 4.34% decrease from the 1,516 registered vital events from the previous month. DEATH STATISTICS The province generated 1,357 timely registered deaths for the month of March 2023. Antipolo City was on the top with three hundred fifty one (351) deaths, followed by Montalban and with One hundred eighty one (181) deaths and Binangonan with one hundred seventy four (174). Municipality of Jala-jala has the least number of deaths with seventeen (17). Records showed that there were 20 timely infant deaths in total. City of Antipolo with eight (8) infant deaths. Meanwhile, Angono, Cardona, Jalajala, Pililla, San Mateo, Taytay and Teresa have no registered documents on infant deaths. The modal age group for the number of timely registered deaths was at 65 to 69 years old with 168 occurrences in March 2023. Eight Hundred Thirty Four or 61.46 percent of the registered deaths in the province died in their homes, whereas about 508 or 37.44 percent passed away in hospitals and 15 or 1.11 percent were deceased in places other than those mentioned above. Thirty-seven point fifty one percent has been medically attended by the physicians, public health officer and in hospital before they pass away. Based on the graph, the highest number of deaths for Male was at age 65 to 69 years old tying with 95 total deaths. On the other hand; at the highest number of deaths for Female was on an age of 65 to 69 years old tying also with a total of 73 deaths (See Figure IV). For the month of May 2023, male had the highest number of registered deaths compared to the number of deaths of the female. In terms of the civil status, 26.84% were single, 46.61% were married, 26.47% were widow/widower and 0.07% were divorced. With regard to corpse disposal, 85.11% of death went through burial, 14.89% were cremated.
