Philippine Statistics Authority Provincial Statistical Offices in CALABARZON will officially release the 2023 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon (excluding City of Lucena), Rizal, and City of Lucena through the simultaneous conduct of the provincial dissemination fora on November 14, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. Representatives from the media, provincial line agencies, local government units, and other guests are expected to be present on this significant event.

The Provincial Product Accounts or PPA is a mechanism to compile the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) in the Philippines using the production approach. The GDP measures the value of all final goods and services produced within an economy in a given period of time. Consistent with the national and regional accounts, the PPA follows the System of National Accounts framework for compiling the GDP at the subregional level.

Through the PPA, the GDP of the provinces and the HUCs are compiled and the results can be used by economic planners, policymakers, and other stakeholders in assessing the performance of local economies, policy formulation and monitoring, impact analyses, among others, for an evidence-based decision making.
