This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of June 2023 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by marital status of parents, place type and attendant-at-birth.  The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication. Births in Cavite Table 1 shows that there were 4,970 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of June 2023. Male births accounted for 51.1% or 2,538 of the total births while female births accounted for 48.9% or 2,432. Males were higher by 106 than females. Two (2) cities and eight (8) municipalities recorded more female births than males. These were as follows: Cavite City and Trece Martires City and municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Noveleta and Tanza.Table 2 shows that 72.3% or 3,595 were timely registered and 27.7% or 1,375 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 2,220 compared to late registered births. Majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. The City of Dasmariñas had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 80.5% or 654 out of 812 total registered births. This was followed by Maragondon with 80.0% or 32 out of 40 total registered births and Carmona with 77.8% or 42 out of 54 total registered births. Amadeo recorded the highest percentage of late registered births with 82.9% or 34 out of 41 registered births followed by Magallanes with 78.4% or 29 out of 37 registered births and Alfonso with 64.3% or 27 out of 42 registered births. Table 2 shows that 72.3% or 3,595 were timely registered and 27.7% or 1,375 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 2,220 compared to late registered births. Majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. The City of Dasmariñas recorded the highest registered live births with 812 births composed of 444 males and 368 females. This was followed by City of Bacoor and Trece Martires City with 731 and 657 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Ternate with seven (7), followed by Mendez and Magallanes with 28 and 37, respectively. Figure 1 shows that 3,436 or 69.1% were non-marital births or babies born out-of-wedlock and 1,534 or 30.9% were marital births. Non-marital births were higher by 1,902. Figure 2 shows that babies born in Health Facility had a total of 4,023 of which 2,122 were males and 1,901 were females. Babies born at Home had a total of 943 comprised of 416 males and 527 females. The remaining four (4) births of which were both males had no place type of occurrence stated on the birth certificate. Figure 3 shows that majority of birth deliveries were attended by Physician with a total of 2,446 of which 1,300 were males and 1,146 were females. It was followed by Midwife with 1,628 composed of 829 males and 799 females and Unlicensed Midwife with 774 composed of 333 male births and 441 female births. Nurse had attended a total of 107 births of which 66 were males and 41 were females. Others had 15 birth deliveries composed of 10 male births and five (5) female births.   Summary The Province of Cavite had recorded a total of 4,970 live births for the month of June 2023. Male births were predominant in most cities/municipalities. Males outnumbered females by 106. The highest number of registered births came from the City of Dasmariñas with 812 and the least came from Ternate with seven (7) live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more non-marital births compared to marital births. Majority of birth deliveries occurred on a Health Facility and the most common attendant-at-birth was Physician.
