PSA Batangas conducts the 2nd Level Training on 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) PSA – Batangas regular personnel and Regional Director Charito Armonia together with the hired personnel 2nd Level Training participants using CAPI during the mock interviews The Philippine Statistics Authority – Batangas recently finished the conduct of the 2nd Level Training on the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) from August 7 to 13, 2023 at LIMA Park Hotel, Lima Commercial Estate, Lipa-Malvar, Batangas. The main goal of this activityis to provide basic data on agricultural, aquaculture, and fishing characteristics for use in the government’s national and local development planning as well as to provide data on the agricultural, aquaculture, and fishery facilities and services available in the barangay The training was spearheaded by CSS Raul Maximo Tolentino, together with ISA III Melchor Olmos from the Central Office, SS II Lou Darlence Mitra and Assistant Focal Person SS II Maria A. Ramirez. It was attended by 16 regular personnel who will serve as the Head Census Area Supervisors (CAS) to the 15 CAS and 15 Assistant Census Area Supervisors (ACAS) that will be responsible in the Third Level Training and enumerations. The training focused on discussions on the importance of CAF, its goals and uses, the concepts and definitions relating to agriculture, livestock and poultry, aquaculture, and fisheries, the proper filling out of forms to be used in CAF and the use of CAPI application. In the opening program, Regional Director Charito C. Armonia gave her message to all participants in which she highlighted the importance and role of data collectors in the collection of quality data. She emphasized that the goals of CAF could be achieved through the cooperative efforts of all personnel involved. Overall, the training is successfully finished and proves that PSA – Batangas is committed to provide the technical and logistical support in the conduct of the 2022 CAF.
