Philippine Statistics Authority will officially release the 2022 Regional Accounts of the Philippines through simultaneous regional press conferences on April 27, 2023 at exactly 10:00 a.m. In CALABARZON, the press conference will be held on-site at Hotel Marciano in Calamba City, Laguna. All the invited media in the region, Regional Line Agencies, Academes, LGU representatives, and Regional Statistics Committees are expected to be present on this momentous event.    The Regional Accounts present the economic performance of the country’s 17 regions through their Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Gross Regional Domestic Expenditure (GRDE).    GRDP is the aggregate of Gross Value Added (GVA) of all resident producer units in the region. It presents the monetary value of all the final goods and services produced by industries within the region in a given period of time. While the GRDE is the sum of all the final uses of goods and services by residents of the region in the domestic territory plus their expenditures in other regions including the rest of the world (ROW) and rest of the Philippines (ROP).   The Regional Accounts will provide a suitable measure of the economic performance at the regional level and will serve as source of indicators to monitor the economic development of the region and to strengthen the planning, decision-making and crafting of economic policies.    For more information, please visit our website at http://rsso04a.psa.gov.ph/.        (SGD.)
