This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of September 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to the city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by legitimacy status, place type and attendant-at-birth.  The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.   Births in Cavite Table 1 shows that the registered births for the month of September 2022 had a total of 5,885. Male births accounted for 50.3% or 2,985 of the total births while female births accounted for 49.7% or 2,927. Males were higher by 31 than females. Four (4) cities and nine (9) municipalities recorded more females than males. These were as follows: City of Dasmariñas, City of Imus, Tagaytay City and municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, Carmona, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Rosario, Silang, and Ternate.   The City of Bacoor had the highest registered births in the province with a total of 902 births composed of 473 males and 429 females. High birth registrations were also recorded in the City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 894 and 702 registered live births, respectively. Ternate had the least number of registered live births with 15, followed by Magallanes and Amadeo with 21 and 25 births, respectively.     Table 2 shows that 79.3% or 4,669 were timely registered and 20.7% or 1,216 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 3,453 compared to late registered births. Majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days.   Tagaytay City had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 91.9% or 91 out of 99 total registered births, followed by Trece Martires City with 86.0% or 604 out of 702 total registered births.   Figure 1 shows that 4,041 or 68.7% were illegitimate babies and 1,844 or 31.3% were legitimate babies. Illegitimate babies were higher by 2,197.     Figure 2 shows that babies born in Health Facility had a total of 5,021, of which 2,540 were males and 2,481 were females. Babies born at Home had a total of 859, comprised of 415 males and 444 females. The remaining five (5) births of which three (3) were males and two (2) were females had no place type of occurrence stated on the birth certificate.     Figure 3 shows that the majority of birth deliveries were attended by Physicians with a total of 2,736, followed by Midwives with 2,271 and Unlicensed Midwives with 654. Nurse had attended a total of 202 and others had 22 birth deliveries.     Summary A total of 5,885 live births were registered on the month of September 2022 in the Province of Cavite. Male births were predominant in most cities/municipalities. Males outnumbered females by 31. The highest number of registered births came from the City of Bacoor with 902 and the least came from Ternate with 15 live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more legitimate babies compared to illegitimate babies. Health Facility was the most common place type for birth deliveries and Physician was the most common attendant-at-birth.
