This special release presents statistical data on deaths occurring for the month of August 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of deaths by sex and by registration status down to the city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered deaths by place type and attendant-at-death. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation for this publication.   Deaths in Cavite Table 1 shows that a total of 2,157 deaths were recorded in the Province of Cavite for the month of August 2022. Male and female deaths had a total of 1,206 and 951, respectively. Male deaths were higher by 255 compared to female deaths. The majority of the cities/municipalities recorded more male deaths than female deaths except for Amadeo, Carmona, and General Mariano Alvarez.   The City of Dasmariñas had the highest number of reported deaths with 400, followed by the City of Bacoor with 235, Trece Martires City with 228, the City of Imus with 224, and City of General Trias with 182. Four (4) municipalities with less than 20 registered deaths were Mendez with 12, General Emilio Aguinaldo and Ternate with 16, and Maragondon with 17 registered deaths. Table 2 shows that majority of the registered deaths were timely. Timely registered deaths of 2,119 were higher by 2,081 compared to late registered deaths of 38. The City of Dasmariñas recorded the highest late registered deaths with eight (8). No late registrations were reported in Cavite City and municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, Carmona, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Maragondon, Mendez, Naic, Noveleta, Rosario, Ternate, and General Mariano Alvarez.     Figure 1 shows that among the place types of death, Home was the most common with 1,411 deaths of which 777 were males and 634 were females. Hospital had a total of 743 deaths of which 427 were males and 316 were females. The total registered deaths at home were higher by 668 than the total registered deaths in hospital. The remaining three (3) deaths of which two (2) were males and one (1) was female occurred in places other than hospitals and homes. Figure 2 shows that among the attendants-at-death, None / no attendant had the highest with1,094, followed by Hospital Authority and Private Physicians with 512 and 285, respectively. Public Health Officers had 260 reported deaths, while Others reported the least with six (6) deaths. Summary The total number of registered deaths for the month of August 2022 in the Province of Cavite amounted to 2,157. Male deaths outnumbered female deaths by 255. The highest number of registered deaths of 400 had been recorded in the City of Dasmariñas and the least registered deaths of only 12 were recorded in Mendez. Timely registered deaths were higher by 2,081 compared to late registered deaths. There were 12 city/municipalities with no late registered deaths. Most deaths occurred at home and were attended by None.
