This special release presents statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of August 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of registered marriages by registration status down to the city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by place type, type of ceremony, and age group. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation for this publication. Marriages in Cavite Table 1 shows that the highest registered marriages of 118 were recorded in the City of Dasmariñas, followed by Silang and the City of Imus with 107 and 106 weddings, respectively. Magallanes recorded the least registered marriages with three (3), followed by General Emilio Aguinaldo and Ternate with four (4) and six (6) weddings, respectively. Registered marriages in the Province of Cavite for the month of August 2022 had a total of 949. Timely registered marriages accounted for 97.7% or 927 and late registered marriages accounted for 2.3% or 22 weddings. The City of Dasmariñas had the highest late registered marriages with five (5), followed by Silang with four (4) late registered marriages. Out of 23 cities/municipalities in the province, 3 cities and 12 municipalities had no late registrations. Figure 1 shows that among the place types for marriage, Office of the Mayor, Judge, and the like had the highest number of weddings with 444 or 46.8%, followed by Others with 277 or 29.2%, and Church with 2228 or 24.0%. Figure 2 shows that among the type of ceremonies, Civil Wedding rites had the highest number of registered marriages with 443, followed by Other Religious Rites and Roman Catholic Church with 274 and 228, respectively. Muslim Weddings had the least with four (4) reported marriages. Figure 3 shows that majority of the brides and grooms came from the age group of 25 - 29 with 320 brides and 374 grooms. It was followed by the age group of 30 - 34 with 298 grooms and 262 brides. The age group of under twenty (20) had the least with only two (2) grooms and seven (7) brides. Summary There were 949 marriages recorded in the Province of Cavite for the month of August 2022. Most weddings were held in the City of Dasmariñas with 118 and the least occurred in Magallanes with three (3) weddings. The majority of marriages were timely registered. No late registered marriages were reported in 3 cities and 12 municipalities in the province. The most common venue of marriage was the Office of the Mayor, Judge, and the like and the most preferred type of ceremony was a Civil wedding. Most grooms and brides were from the age group of 25-29 and the least were from the age group of under 20.
