This special release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of August 2022 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to the city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by legitimacy status, place type, and attendant-at-birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation for this publication.   Births in Cavite Table 1 shows that the registered births for the month of August 2022 had a total of 5,475. The registered births in the City of Imus were not included since those were not processed in the provincial office due to a system error. Male births accounted for 50.2% or 2,750 and female births accounted for 49.8% or 2,725. Males were higher by 25 than females. One (1) city and nine (9) municipalities recorded more females than males. These were as follows: the City of General Trias and municipalities of Alfonso, Amadeo, Kawit, Magallanes, Mendez, Rosario, Silang, Tanza, and Ternate.   The City of Bacoor had the highest number of registered births in the province with a total of 962 births composed of 489 males and 473 females. High birth registrations were also recorded in the City of Dasmariñas and Trece Martires City with 942 and 687 registered live births, respectively. Ternate had the least number of registered live births with 20, followed by Magallanes with 27. Amadeo, General Emilio  Aguinaldo, and Mendez had the same total registered births of 34. Table 2 shows that 70.3% or 3,847 were timely registered and 29.7% or 1,628 were late registered. Timely registered births were higher by 2,219 compared to late registered births. The majority were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days.   Tagaytay City had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 82.0% or 50 out of 61 total registered births, followed by Carmona with 80.5% or 70 out of 87 total registered births.     Figure 1 shows that there were 3,925 or 71.7% were illegitimate babies and 1,550 or 28.3% were legitimate babies. Illegitimate babies were higher by 2,375. Most of the babies were born out-of-wedlock.     Figure 2 shows that babies born in Health Facilities had a total of 4,324, of which 2,221 were males and 2,103 were females. Babies born at Home had a total of 1,143, comprised of 525 males and 618 females. The remaining four (4) births of which four (4) were males and one (1) was a female had no place type of occurrence stated on the birth certificate. Figure 3 shows that majority of birth deliveries were attended by Physicians with a total of 2,328, followed by midwives with 2,048, and Unlicensed Midwives with 892. Nurse had attended a total of 175 and others had 31 birth deliveries. One (1) female birth has no stated attendant-at-birth in the document.   Summary For the month of August 2022, the Province of Cavite recorded a total of 5,475 live births. This does not include the registered live births in the City of Imus since it was not processed due to a system error. Male births were predominant in most cities/municipalities. Males outnumbered females by 25. The highest number of registered births came from the City of Bacoor with 962 and the least came from Ternate with 20 live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more legitimate babies compared to illegitimate babies. Health Facility was the most common place type for birth deliveries and Physician was the most common attendant-at-birth.

There were 698 marriages registered in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 2.92 percent from the previous month’s total of 719.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
