PRESS RELEASE: PSA Quezon Receives Gawad Lingap Award

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Quezon Provincial Statistical Office received the “Gawad Lingap” Award from the Department of Education - Macalelon District. The award was given during the just concluded Gawad Lingap Award 2022, held on December 13, 2022 at Macalelon Amphitheater, Macalelon, Quezon. Gawad Lingap is a sort of recognition given by the Department of Education - Macalelon District to all its stakeholders to recognize their valuable contributions for the improvement of schools’ programs, projects, and activities which is in accordance with the implementation of DepEd Order No 2, s. 2013 or the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 8525 or Adopt-a-School Program Act. PSA Quezon was one among the stakeholder awardees of the Macalelon District, with Taguin Elementary School as its adopted institution. Statistical Specialist II Walter S. Orijuela represented PSA Quezon to receive the award. Some awardees who were also recognized during the event came from the different sectors such as Parent-Teachers Associations, government agencies, Sangguniang Barangay chairpersons, private institutions and organizations, business entities, private individuals and notable political personalities. During the event, Nolan L. Santoalla, Public Schools District Supervisor of DepEd Macalelon District, his message thanked all the stakeholders and highlighted the major contributions that they received such as completion of donated school buildings from various groups and personalities, completed programs, projects, and activities of the Division to deliver effective and efficient services for the schools improvement within the Macalelon, Quezon.
