Inflation Rate in Rizal October 2022   Table 1. The inflation rate for Rizal for All Items increased to 7.9 percent in October 2022 from 6.2 percent in September 2022. For the month-on-month comparison, the uptrend in overall inflation was mainly due to an increase in the index of "Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages" from 7.1 to 12.3 percent. "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco" and “Health” also contributed to the uptrend, posting an increase of 1.7 and 1.9 index differences from 10.3 to 12.2 percent and 4.5 from 2.8 percent respectively. “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services”, “Information and Communication”, “Recreation Sport and Culture” and “Transport” had 0.6, 0.5, 0.4 and 0.3 index differences from the previous month’s inflation rate. “Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and other Fuels” posted a negative index difference from 5.3 to 4.3 percent. Both “Clothing and Footwear” and “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” showed a decline of -0.1 index points from 1.3 to 1.2 and from 3.6 to 3.5 percent. The inflation rate of “Education Services”, “Restaurant and Accommodation Services” and “Financial Services” remained stable during the month. Table 2. The CPI of Rizal for all items was 120.8, an increase of 8.8 points from last year's index of 112.0. The highest increase in the index was 19.0 points for "Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco," from 155.8 in October last year to 174.8 in October this year. Second in rank was “Transport,” which rose from 121.9 to 137.1 index points. Moreover, index gains were also observed in “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages" with an index point of 127.4 from 113.4 last year Similarly, the annual increase in “Personal Care, Miscellaneous Goods and Services" was at 6.3 points from 107.5 to 113.8. "Restaurant and Accommodation Services” was registered at 6.1 points from 116.7 to 122.8; "Health" at 5.1 from 112.6 to 117.7 percent. “Housing Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels” with 4.4 index points; “Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance” at 3.9 points; “Recreation, Sport and Culture” at 2.0 points; “Clothing and Footwear “at 1.3 percent, “Education Services” at 1.1 percent and “Information and Communication” at 0.6 percent “Financial Services” index remained stable at 146.0 index level Figure 3. The price situation in Rizal on the month-on-month basis moved up by 1.7 from 119.1 to 120.8 index level. For this month, “Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages” moved up by 4.2 points brought about by price increases in meat and vegetables. Likewise, price increase was also observed in “Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco”, “Transport and “Health” with 3.0, 2.5 and 2.0 points index difference. “Personal Care, and Miscellaneous Goods and Services” had 0.7 points while “Information and Communication”, “Furnishings Household Equipment and Household Maintenance” and “Recreation, Sport and Culture” recorded 0.5 index respectively “Clothing and Footwear”, “Education Services”, “Restaurant and Accommodation Services” and “Financial Services” remained stable this month.
