The population of Taal as of 01 May 2020 is 61,460 based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH). This accounts for about 2.11 percent of Batangas population. The 2020 population of Taal is higher by 5,133 from the population of 56,327 in 2015, and 9,957 more than the population of 51,503 in 2010. Moreover, it is higher by 18,005 compared with the population of 43,455 in 2000. The population of Taal increased by 1.85 percent annually from 2015 to 2020. By comparison, the rate at which the population of the municipality grew from 2010 to 2015 was lower at 1.72 percent.
