Press Release   The results of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH) were disseminated via Zoom platform and FB live last August 5, 2021 by Rizal Provincial Statistical Office of the Philippine Statistics Authority.   Regional Director Charito C. Armonia virtually delivered her welcome remarks before the 102 Zoom participants and to the more than 30 who watched the FB live. Partakers of the event were representatives from the local government units, members of the academe and other stakeholders.   Statistical Specialist II (SSII) Ma. Cristina C. Crisol led the opening prayer followed by a presentation on the 2020 CPH background by Statistical Analyst Vannesa A. Abarquez, who also led the program proceedings. The highlights of the 2020 CPH population counts for the country was presented by Chief Statistical Specialist Yra B. Sibug. Likewise, Supervising Statistical Specialist Mercy Liza B. Tibay conveyed the regional results while SS II Lowell D. San Esteban imparted the numbers by city/municipality down to barangay level of the province of Rizal.   As of May 1, 2020, the Philippine population was at 109,035,343. The total population of Region IV-A (CALABARZON) as of May 1, 2020 was 16,195,042. This accounts for about 14.85 percent of the Philippine population in 2020. CALABARZON was the most populous region among the 17 regions of the country. Of the total population, the province of Rizal contributed 3,330,143 persons, notching the 3rd rank as the most populous in CALABARZON and the 4th in terms of largest province in the country.
