Palay production exhibited a decline of 13.15 percent for October to December 2018. In contrast, corn grew by 280.91 percent from its levels in 2017. Forecasts on standing crop of palay indicate lower production in the first quarter of 2019. This may bring about a decline in outputs by 4.69 percent. Similarly, probable production of corn crop may incur negative growth of 16.00 percent.
