This special release presents the statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of July 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data on registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by nationality of bride and groom. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.
Marriages in Cavite
The total 1,374 registered marriages in the Province of Cavite for the month of July 2024 was shown in Figure 1 wherein the municipality of Naic recorded the highest registered marriages at 211, followed by Silang and City of Dasmariñas with 156 and 140 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages with below ten (10) registered marriages were recorded in General Emilio Aguinaldo and Ternate with only two (2) both, followed by Magallanes with seven (7) weddings.

Moreover, timely registered marriages accounted for 1,355 or 98.6 percent while late registered marriages accounted for only 19 or 1.4 percent. Naic registered the highest number of timely registered marriages in the province at 210 while the highest number of late registered marriages came from Alfonso, City of General Trias, and City of Imus at 3 each. All of the registered marriages in the two cities and eleven municipalities of the province were timely registered.

Figure 2 shows that 1,328 or 96.7 percent of the 1,374 grooms in July 2024 were Filipino citizens. Foreign citizens recorded 46 or 3.3 percent of the grooms in Cavite. The highest number of foreign citizens came from United States of America with 22 grooms, followed by from Australia, China and Japan with one (1) groom each.

On the other hand, Figure 3 shows that in July 2024, 1,369 or 99.6 percent of the 1,374 brides were Filipino citizens, while foreign citizens totaled to only five (5) or 0.4 percent of the brides in Cavite. Of the 5 foreign citizens, three (3) brides came from United States of America.

Summary
The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 1,374 marriages for the month of July 2024. Naic had the highest registered marriages of 211 and also with the most number of timely registered marriages. General Emilio Aguinaldo and Ternate had the least with two (2) marriages each. Majority of the registered marriages were timely registered. The total late registered marriages were 19. No late registered marriages were reported in 2 cities and 11 municipalities in the province. Most of the grooms and brides are Filipino citizens. Grooms and brides with foreign citizenship reached 46 and 5, respectively.
