THE LGU OF POLILLO, QUEZON RECEIVES THE 2023 COMMUNITY-BASED MONITORING SYSTEM (CBMS) DATA
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) successfully turned over the data from the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to the local government of Polillo, Quezon. Polillo is the sole LGU who joined the CBMS roll-out in 2023. The ceremonial activity was held last 03 May 2024 at Conti’s Bakeshop & Restaurant, Lucena City, Quezon. This noteworthy event was made possible and realized as a result of the collaborative efforts of the PSA and the local government of Polillo and its constituents.
Attending officials included the following: Municipal Mayor of Polillo, Honorable Angelique E. Bosque, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Russell C. Narte, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator EnP Louicette C. Guerrero, RSSO 4A Senior Statistical Specialist William T. Perez, and Provincial Statistics Officer Airene A. Pucyutan. Also in attendance were the Department Heads in the LGU of Polillo, Quezon and other PSA and LGU personnel.
There were 7,647 responding households with a total of 29,447 individuals covered in the CBMS. Senior Statistical Specialist Margarita G. Cada presented the highlights of the results from the Household Profile Questionnaire which included the basic services such as electricity, internet, water, toilet facilities, safety, food insecurity, and housing characteristics, among others. The LGU can now use the data derived from the CBMS for program planning and policy formulation, according to SrSS Cada.

PSA QUEZON CONDUCTS VARIOUS PHILSYS ONSITE REGISTRATION
PSA Quezon conducted various PhilSys onsite registration in several municipalities of the province in partnership with Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP). The objective of this activity is to reach out to identified barangays who needs immediate assistance, on various government projects, application for government services and creation of livelihood programs. With this, PSA brings PhilSys registration closer to the community by providing onsite registration. Unregistered individuals were encouraged to register to PhilSys to provide them with valid proof of identity that they can use in private and government transactions.
