Number of Deaths…

 There were 1,424 registered deaths in Quezon in April 2024. It recorded an increase of 38.0 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,032. 
 The daily average of death occurrences during the month was 47 or approximately two (2) deaths per hour.

Deaths by Sex…

 There were more male deaths (799 or 56.1%) than female deaths (625 or 43.9%) registered during the month. 
 The death sex ratio was calculated at 128 males for every 100 females in April 2024.

Deaths by Place of Occurrence and Usual Place of Residence…

 Lucena City recorded the most number of registered deaths at 369 or 25.9 percent. This may be explained by its large population and the health facilities available in the city. 
 The municipality of Candelaria had the second-highest number of registered deaths with 99 or 7.0%, followed by Sariaya and City of Tayabas with 90 (6.3%) and 65 (4.6%), respectively. 
 There were 236 deaths that occurred outside the usual place of residence of the deceased. 
 Lucena City recorded the highest number of deaths (177) that occurred outside the usual residence of the deceased. It was followed by Gumaca (16) and Infanta (14). 
 Majority of the rest of the municipalities and city of the province registered higher number of deaths by usual residence than the number of deaths by place of occurrence.

BIRTH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: December 2024 (Preliminary Results)

A total of 2,840 live births were registered in the province in December 2024. It recorded a decrease of 9.4 percent from the November 2024 figure of 3,133.

A total of 3,133 live births were registered in the province in November 2024. It recorded a decrease of 7.5 percent from the October 2024 figure of 3,386.

A total of 3,386 live births were registered in the province in October 2024. It recorded an increase of 3.5 percent from the September 2024 figure of 3,270.
