This special release presents the statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of December 2023 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by nationality of bride and groom. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.


Marriages in Cavite

A total of 1,681 marriages were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of December 2023. Figure 1 shows that Silang recorded the highest registered marriages at 239, followed by Tagaytay City and City of Imus with 210 and 196 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages was recorded in the municipality of General Emilio Aguinaldo with only nine (9), followed by Ternate and Magallanes with 10 and 13 weddings, respectively.

Moreover, timely registered marriages accounted for 1,667 or 99.2 percent while late registered marriages accounted for only 14 or 0.8 percent. Silang also registered the highest number of timely registered marriages in the province. Out of 23 cities/municipalities in the province, five (5) cities and eight (8) municipalities had all of their recorded marriages registered on time.

Figure 2 shows that 1,641 or 97.6 percent of the 1,681 grooms in December 2023 were Filipino citizens. Foreign citizens recorded 40 or 2.4 percent of the grooms in Cavite. The highest number of foreign citizens came from United States of America with ten (10) grooms, followed by foreign citizens from China with four (4) grooms, and from Australia, Germany and Japan with one (1) groom each.

On the other hand, Figure 3 shows that in December 2023, 1,676 or 99.7 percent of the 1,681 brides were Filipino citizens, while foreign citizens totaled to five (5) or 0.3 percent of the brides in Cavite. Of the 5 foreign citizens, one (1) bride came from United States of America.


Summary

The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 1,681 marriages for the month of December 2023. Silang had the highest registered marriages of 239 and with the most number of timely registered marriages. General Emilio Aguinaldo had the least with nine (9) marriages. Majority of the registered marriages were timely registered. The total late registered marriages were only 14. No late registered marriages were reported in 5 cities and 8 municipalities in the province. Most of the grooms and brides are Filipino citizens. Grooms and brides with foreign citizenship reached 40 and 5, respectively.

There were 698 marriages registered in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 2.92 percent from the previous month’s total of 719.

DEATH STATISTICS IN QUEZON: February 2024 (Preliminary Results)

There were 1,198 registered deaths in Quezon in February 2024. It recorded a decrease of 22.4 percent from the previous month’s figure of 1,543.
