This Special Release presents statistical data on births occurring for the month of December 2024 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of live births by sex and by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered live births by nationality of father and mother, usual residence of the mother, and type of birth. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.
Births in Cavite
Table 1 shows that there were 4,201 registered live births in the Province of Cavite for the month of December 2024. Male births accounted for 51.3 percent or 2,154 of the total births while female births accounted for 48.7 percent or 2,047. Males were higher by 107 than females. Six (6) cities and six (6) municipalities recorded more male than female births. These were as follows: City of Bacoor, City of Carmona, Cavite City, City of Dasmariñas, City of Imus, and Trece Martires City and municipalities of Amadeo, Kawit, Maragondon, Rosario, Silang, and Tanza.
City of Dasmariñas recorded the highest registered live births with 709 total registered births. This was followed by Trece Martires City and City of Bacoor with 666 and 660 registered live births, respectively. The least registered live births were recorded in Ternate with nine (9), followed by General Emilio Aguinaldo with 14 and Magallanes with 15 registered live births.

Table 2 shows that 84.7 percent or 3,557 were timely registered while 15.3 percent or 644 were late registered. Timely registered births were registered within the reglementary period of 30 days. These births were higher by 2,913 compared to late registered births.
Mendez had the highest percentage of timely registered births with 93.6 percent or 44 out of 47 total registered births. This was followed by Tagaytay City and General Emilio Aguinaldo with 93.2 percent or 55 out of 59 and 92.9 percent 13 out of 14 registered births, respectively. On the other hand, Magallanes recorded the highest percentage of late registered births with 40.0 percent or six (6) out of 15 registered births. This was followed by Alfonso with 39.1 percent or nine (9) out of 23 registered births and Amadeo with 38.5 percent or 10 out of 26 registered births.

Figure 1 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino mother (4,190 or 99.7 percent) while seven 11 or 0.3 percent were babies with foreign mother. Births with Filipino mothers were higher by 4,179

Figure 2 shows that most of the babies born were from Filipino father (3,914 or 93.2 percent). On the other hand, 287 or 6.8 percent were babies with foreign father. Births with Filipino fathers were higher by 3,627.

Figure 3 shows that the majority of the babies’ mother were residents of Cavite with a total of 4,105 while residents of other provinces were 96.

Figure 4 shows that majority of birth deliveries were single with a total of 4,170 of which 2,146 were males and 2,024 were females. Twins had a total of 31 composed of 8 males and 23 females.

Summary
For the month of December 2024, the Province of Cavite registered 4,201 live births. In the province, most births were male. Overall, there were 107 more male births (2,154) than female births (2,047). City of Dasmariñas recorded the highest number of registered births (709) while Ternate recorded the least with nine (9) live births only. Timely registered births were higher than late registered births. There were also more live births with Filipino mothers and fathers than births with foreign fathers and mothers. Majority of the mothers were residents of Cavite and among the types of birth, single was the most common.
