This special release presents the statistical data on marriages occurring for the month of November 2023 in the Province of Cavite. This publication shows the disaggregated data of registered marriages by registration status down to city/municipal level. It also presents the total registered marriages by nationality of bride and groom. The civil registry documents transmitted by the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) to Cavite Provincial Office for machine processing served as the source of data in preparation of this publication.
Marriages in Cavite
A total of 906 marriages were registered in the Province of Cavite for the month of November 2023. Figure 1 shows that Tagaytay City recorded the highest registered marriages at 149, followed by Silang and City of Imus with 146 and 84 weddings, respectively. The least registered marriages with below ten (10) registered marriages were recorded in General Emilio Aguinaldo and Maragondon with only three (3) each, followed by Magallanes and Ternate with four (4) and seven (7) weddings, respectively.
Moreover, timely registered marriages accounted for 894 or 98.7 percent while late registered marriages accounted for only 12 or 1.3 percent. The highest number of timely registered marriages came in Tagaytay City which had 147 timely registered marriages. Out of the 23 cities/municipalities in the province, four cities and twelve municipalities had recorded all marriages as registered on time.
Figure 2 shows that 866 or 95.6 percent of the 906 grooms in November 2023 were Filipino citizens. Foreign citizens recorded 40 or 4.4 percent of the grooms in the province. The highest number of foreign citizens came from United States of America with 14 grooms, followed by from China with three (3) grooms, and from Australia with two (2) grooms.
On the other hand, Figure 3 shows that in November 2023, 899 or 99.2 percent of the 906 brides were Filipino citizens, while foreign citizens totaled to seven (7) or 0.8 percent of the brides in Cavite. Of the 7 foreign citizens, three (3) brides came from United States of America.
Summary
The Province of Cavite recorded a total of 906 marriages for the month of November 2023. Tagaytay City had the highest registered marriages of 149 and with the most number of timely registered marriages. General Emilio Aguinaldo and Maragondon had the least with three (3) marriages each. Majority of the registered marriages were timely registered. The total late registered marriages were only 12. No late registered marriages were reported in 4 cities and 12 municipalities in the province. Most of the grooms and brides are Filipino citizens. Grooms and brides with foreign citizenship reached 40 and 7, respectively.
