Batangas Provincial Statistical Office will conduct the October 2019 Labor Force Survey (LFS) / Survey of Overseas Filipino (SOF) and Kasambahay Rider Module. LFS aims to provide a quantitative framework for the preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market. SOF on the other hand is designed to account Filipino’s abroad working with or without contract and those who are immigrant. Provincial Focal Person David Harina attended the second level training on 2019 October round LFS/SOF and Kasambahay Rider Module on September 25 to 27 at PSA RSSOIVA.  On this survey round,  Kasambahay is included to generate information on the employment and working conditions of domestic workers focusing on indicators necessary to the setting of minimum wages based on the concept of a minimum wage and relevant laws (RA6727, RA10361 and NWPC guidelines.) Meanwhile, third level training was held on October 1 to 3 at the Conference Room, Batangas Provincial Office.  Six hired statistical researchers will interview a total of 391 sample households in the province under the supervision of PFP SSII David Harina and Asst. Statistician Pamela Alea.  Enumeration will start on October 8.
