
The PSA Quezon Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted the presentation of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) preliminary results to the local government of Agdangan, Quezon. The ceremonial activity was held on August 12, 2025, at the Conference Room of the Agdangan Municipal Building.
The presentation brought together key local officials, including Municipal Mayor Hon. Vicenta “Venchie” C. Aguilar, OIC–Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Erickson F. Perlada, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and heads of various local government offices.
In her welcome message, Mayor Aguilar expressed her sincere gratitude to the PSA for spearheading the CBMS in Agdangan. She acknowledged the joint efforts of partner agencies in ensuring the successful conduct of the 2024 CBMS. She emphasized that the comprehensive data collected will serve as a vital source in the formulation of development plans and programs for the municipality.
Chief Statistical Specialist Airene A. Pucyutan also delivered her message, noting that Agdangan first joined the CBMS in 2022 and that the 2024 round marks its second participation under the supervision of the PSA. She also shared that Agdangan is the first municipality in Quezon to have its preliminary results presented. She emphasized the value of CBMS data in evidence-based planning, highlighting its potential to guide targeted programs on essential services such as electricity, internet, safe water, sanitation, food security, and civil registration. She encouraged the LGU to maximize the use of barangay-level data for planning and policymaking and invited them to participate in the 2025 Provincial CBMS Convention and Data Festival on September 23–24, 2025, in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Senior Statistical Specialist Margarita G. Cada, presented the preliminary results covering essential indicators such as access to electricity, internet connectivity, water supply, toilet facilities, perceptions of safety, food security, and disaster preparedness, among others.
Concluding the program, OIC–Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Erickson F. Perlada delivered the closing remarks, underscoring the importance of accurate data in decision-making, stating, “Numbers don’t lie.” The event concluded on a positive and optimistic note, marking the successful presentation of the 2024 CBMS Preliminary Results to the municipality of Agdangan, Quezon.
