25 June 2024 – LIPA CITY, BATANGAS. The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) IV-A spearheaded the conduct of an online forum for the Philippine Identification System Relying Parties and Stakeholders, via Zoom Video Conference. The activity’s goal is to further promote the acceptance of PhilID and ePhilID and the use of the authentication system to validate its authenticity, and spread awareness on the various accomplishments of the project.

Attended by 87 participants from private establishments and government institutions: 43 participants from National Government Agencies, 30 from Local and Provincial Governments, 9 representatives from banks, and 5 representatives from the academe; the resource speakers from RSSO and PhilSys Registry Office tackled the topics such as: Introduction to PhilSys (PhilSys 101), the features of Digital National ID, and its means of verification via National ID eVerify. The Open Forum following the discussions was much appreciated by the participants with their queries and clarifications in order to understand clearly the purpose, use, and benefits of the digital National ID.

As an added information, the PSA presented the latest preliminary results of Vital Statistics on Civil Registration in CALABARZON. The PSA shall again conduct activities for PhilSys relying parties and the public to strengthen its campaign on registration and use of National ID for all individual transactions necessitating presentation of personal identification.
