In collaboration with the Batangas City Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) and the Batangas City Legal Office, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Batangas successfully conducted National ID registration during the Mobile Registration Activity held on January 22, 2025, in Barangay Tinga Itaas, Batangas City.
The initiative aimed to provide convenient and accessible registration services to residents of Barangay Tinga Itaas, particularly those seeking delayed registration of birth—a process that requires National ID registration as a key component. This activity also aimed to strengthen the Birth Registration Assistance Program (BRAP) of the PSA, ensuring efficient support for individuals seeking delayed birth registration. To better serve the community,
the National ID Registration team of PSA Batangas set up a booth for National ID registration and ePhilID issuance alongside the LCRO’s mobile registration services. This integration highlights the PSA’s commitment to reinforcing BRAP by addressing birth registration challenges through collaborative efforts.
During the activity, the National ID team registered 25 individuals and issued a total of 16 ePhilIDs. These efforts were pivotal in assisting clients with delayed birth registration, streamlining the process, and ensuring compliance with government requirements.
The successful collaboration among the PSA Batangas, LCRO, and the Batangas City Legal Office underscores the commitment of all agencies involved to bring vital services closer to the community. By integrating National ID registration into the Mobile Registration program, the team effectively addressed the needs of residents while promoting the convenience and benefits of the National ID System.
The PSA continues to encourage Filipinos to register for the National ID, emphasizing its importance as a primary identification document for accessing various government and private sector services. Through initiatives like this, the PSA remains dedicated to making the National ID registration process accessible and inclusive for all.
