Champion of the 5^th Regional CRVS Quiz Bee for LCRO Employees (Ms. Mary Angeline S. Del Pilar)

The 5th Regional Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Quiz Bee for Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) took place on 11 February 2025, at JET Hotel, Lipa City, Batangas. The theme for this year’s event, “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System,” brought together the 15 contestants from different Local Civil Registry Offices within CALABARZON to showcase their expertise in civil registration and vital statistics.

The quiz covered various aspects related to the PSA, such as the PSA’s role and mandates, relevant Civil Registration Laws such as RA Nos. 11222, 11642, 11767, 11909, and PSA initiatives like the Birth Registration Assistance Project, among others.

Top 3 Contestants of the 5^th Regional CRVS Quiz Bee

Beating the other candidates, Ms. Mary Angeline S. Del Pilar representing LCRO Malvar, Batangas, emerged as the champion; while Ms. Sheelet Erika M. Gonzales of LCRO City of Sto. Tomas, Batangas and Ms. Sherry Ann A. Natividad of LCRO General Nakar, Quezon took second and third places, respectively.

As champion, Ms. Del Pilar will represent the CALABARZON region in the upcoming National CRVS Quiz Bee on 28 February 2025, aiming for the national title.

The event is part of the PSA’s efforts to hone and recognize the LCRO employees' skills and raise awareness on civil registration’s vital role in society, promoting a more efficient and future-ready civil registration and vital statistics system.
