In celebration of the 34th Civil Registration Month, the 4th Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz Bee for CALABARZON took center stage on February 13, 2024 at Jet Hotel in Lipa City, Batangas. Thirteen enthusiastic contestants from different Local Civil Registry Offices showcased their knowledge and expertise in the field. The quiz bee featured series of challenging questions covering various aspects of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics, including legal frameworks, policies and procedures, and vital statistics. Participants demonstrated their in-depth understanding of CRVS principles and their practical application in real-world scenarios.

The competition was fierce, with contestants showcasing not only their knowledge but also their quick thinking and analytical skills. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie as participants engaged in friendly competition, all united by their passion for advancing CRVS initiatives.

Among the participants, three outstanding contestants emerged victorious. They were lauded for their exceptional performance and dedication to their craft. Carlo V. Villanueva – Registration Officer III from the LCRO of the City of Sto. Tomas, Batangas with 10 years in service, exemplified his outstanding expertise and experience in CRVS, earning him the top spot. Mary Angeline S. Del Pilar and Jerwyn Carlo V. Bonza, the 2nd and 3rd placers respectively, showcased commendable knowledge and determination, further solidifying their commitment to excellence in Civil Registration.

The champion, Mr Carlo V. Villanueva together with the PSA RSSO IV-A Chief Administrative Officer – Wilma A. Villafuerte, are set to conquer the national CRVS quiz bee in an attempt to clinch the championship on February 28, 2024.

The 4th Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz Bee not only celebrated the achievement of its participants but also highlighted the critical role of CRVS in shaping the future of public services. As we commemorate the 34th Civil Registration Month, let us continue to champion the principles of accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility in Civil Registration, paving the way for a seamless and inclusive future for all.
