The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A announces the conduct of the Regional Data Dissemination Forum on the 2024 Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) for CALABARZON which will be held on 02 June 2025 (Monday), 09:00 a.m. at Hotel Marciano, Calamba City, Laguna. Invited media practitioners and representatives from the academe, regional and local government agencies, and provincial statistical offices in the region are expected to be present during this event.

OIC-SOCD Charity O. Bautista and Statistical Specialist II Jan Irvin Mark A. Sison will be the resource persons for the event.

The 2024 FLEMMS is one of the designated statistical activities for critical policy and decision-making by the government per Executive Order No. 352. It is the main source of basic and functional literacy statistics in the Philippines, which are essential in achieving the targets outlined in the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 Chapter 2 - Promote Human and Social Development, and the Sustainable Development Goal 4 - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
