Number of Marriages… A total of 592 marriages were registered in Quezon in July 2021. It recorded a decrease of 22.6 percent from the previous month’s total of 765. The daily average of registered marriages during the month was 19, lower than the recorded daily average of 26 in June 2021. Marriages by Place of Occurrence… Lucena City (86 or 14.5 percent) had the highest number of registered marriages. It was followed by Sariaya (54 or 9.1 percent). Candelaria (41 or 6.9 percent) and City of Tayabas (36 or 6.1 percent) recorded the next highest registered marriages. Around 53.7 percent of the 41 municipalities/cities in the province registered less than 10 marriage occurrences during the month. Marriages by Type of Ceremony… The most number of registered marriages were performed under civil rites, with 274 or 46.3 percent. Marriages solemnized under church ceremonies totaled 261 accounting for 44.1 percent of the total registered marriages.There was one (1) marriage event celebrated under Muslim rites, equivalent to 0.2 percent.Marriages celebrated under other types of ceremonies comprised 9.5 percent.
